Spurwink Retreat Trusses

Earlier this week it was very neat to see the living room trusses for Spurwink Retreat coming together on site. During the design process we worked closely with our consulting structural engineer Albert Putnam to design, engineer, and describe the trusses. The trusses are made up of structural LVL rafters that are tied together with galvanized steel collar ties and sag rods. The assembly will be completed when Wright-Ryan Homes sisters a "select structural" grade douglas fir rafter on each side of the LVL.
