Introducing Our Latest Project: The Overlook

Introducing the latest project to hit our website, The Overlook, a ski home we designed in the Sugarloaf region. Our clients are avid outdoor enthusiasts from Boston with deep ties to Maine and this house was designed to offer year-round access to the outdoors. The site, positioned atop a mountain, features a scenic overlook with mountain views and a popular trail system. As with all our projects, our design involved a dialogue with the site. Our approach needed to reinforce the connection between inhabitants and the landscape, without disrupting the natural features of the site. The project represents an open collaboration between client, design team, and builder and as a result, the home is a reflection of the clients’ vision, the relationships formed, and this unique site. Read more and see the beautiful snowy photographs by Trent Bell.
