Higgins Beach Cottage Duo Underway

The crew at RP Morrison are well underway with renovations and improvements on Higgins Beach Cottage Duo, located in Scarborough’s Higgins Beach community.

The small non-compliant coastal lot is located on what is deemed a frontal-dune by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). During design we worked closely with the Town and the DEP to tailor the project to best meet current shoreland zoning, frontal dune, and flood plain requirements. In the summer of 2014 we gained unanimous approval of the project from the town’s Zoning Board of Appeals, and from the DEP.

Construction is slated for completion by summer of 2015. When our clients plan to spend another treasured Maine summer in their now updated cottages.
