Emily Morton

Studio Coordinator

Studio Coordinator Emily Morton grew up in Downeast Maine, an experience that cultivated an independent do-it-yourself spirit. Her father was always out working in the wood shop scheming up carpentry projects big and small, which taught her that if she wanted something she could find a way to make it herself.

Emily went to Mount Desert Island High School where she was deeply rooted in the arts program, and in 2010 graduated from Goucher College in Towson, Maryland with a BA in Dance Choreography and Art History. After college, she moved to San Francisco to work in on-site event management with Taste Catering. This environment honed her abilities to think on her feet, stay organized, and develop a keen eye for detail. In 2014, she moved back to Maine and most recently was the Director of Sales and Marketing for a hotel in Kennebunkport, as well as an independent wedding planner. With experience in events and wedding planning, Emily appreciates the small details that bring the whole experience together. Most recently, she decided to expand her use of spatial thinking and enrolled in the Applied Geographic Information Systems graduate certificate program from USM.

When she's not in the office, she likes to spend time hiking, running, and cooking.
