Andrew Potter

Designer

Andrew was born in Massachusetts and moved to Maine at the age of ten. From an early age, he was drawn to making—spending countless hours building with Legos and helping his father with woodworking projects around the house. Growing up between the suburban edges of Boston and the rugged coastline of Maine gave him a lasting appreciation for life in New England, where the built and natural environments constantly inform one another.

Andrew earned both his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. After graduation, he spent eight years with OverUnder, a multidisciplinary design firm, where he worked across a broad range of project types—from residential and civic buildings to masterplanning, exhibitions, and installations. He also spent time as a millworker with FKIA, building custom millwork and interiors for bars, restaurants, and retail environments, further grounding his design perspective in craft and materiality.

After relocating to Portland, Maine, Andrew was a part of Pink Projects and AAmp Studio, where he worked on residential, hospitality, and restaurant projects that thoughtfully respond to their natural settings. His work is rooted in a process-driven approach—emphasizing thoughtful collaboration, attention to detail, and a strong connection between concept and execution.

Outside of the studio, Andrew enjoys time with his wife, child, and dog exploring the Maine landscape. Whether he's in the workshop building furniture, tackling home improvement projects, or rediscovering his love of Legos, he's always creating. He also enjoys strength training, skateboarding, and surfing—activities that connect him to the environment. He stays active and inspired through movement and making, balancing design with a respect for the natural world.
