site conditions: An elevated, wooded, ledge-filled site with 180° water views on a small private island.
client program: A seasonal camp with open living, a master suite, extra bedroom, and detached guest quarters with low impact on the site.
design response: A 3-part "in filled pavilion" with primary living, auxiliary bedroom off a connecting screen porch, and detached "pod" featuring site-harvested log columns and timber supports which touch down lightly on the existing grade.
