site conditions: A shoreline property with a water view and an ancillary relation to accommodate guests of the main house.
client program: A guest house to provide temporary occupancy for the clients during construction of the main house, with 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, a full kitchen, living and dining areas and a full basement.
design response: A home with a large 2-story central space featuring a gallery of windows to bring the outside in, a screen porch, and carefully designed connection to the main house via a 40 foot bridge spanning a ravine and stream.
