site conditions: An 11-acre shoreline property with severe wetlands limitations, a spectacular direct water view, huge white pines and three streams that traverse the site.

client program: A custom tailored house, rustic yet contemporary, which responds to the character of the site and provides 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a featured main living space and privacy from the outside world.

design response: A home with an open floor plan and an abundance of natural light which provides water views from all rooms and porches and features boarded, vaulted ceilings, peeled log columns, architectural millwork and casing, red birch flooring and natural fir woodwork.
