site conditions: Approx. 10 acres of private waterfront peninsula w/a 1920's summer cottage in original condition w/exposed framing inside.
client program: A rotated original cottage on a new foundation orientated to the shoreline. A new master suite/entry addition. Concealed modern mechanical systems. A new kitchen open to the dining space and water view w/an antique cook stone, bead board cabinets and slate countertops.
design response: A 3 season vacation home w/ the same look and feel of the original cottage. Updated kitchen, master suite and mechanical systems.
